Principal Insurance continue Masters Superbike Championship support

Fast-growing Principal Insurance have announced that it will continue to back the Dunlop Masters Superbike Championship into 2018. For the third year running the Dublin-based specialist insurance broking group has agreed to be title sponsor of the Pre-Injection Championship at the Masters. The announcement is a big boost to the Mondello Park-promoted championship and particularly the Pre-Injection class which has benefited from Principal’s involvement since the company signed up to the series in 2016. As the main supporting act to the headlining Superbike and Supersport Championships at the Masters, Pre-Injection has greatly increased its profile and popularity thanks to Principal’s support and will be looking to build on that success during 2018. Principal came to Ireland in 2015, initially to offer greater choice and competition in the motorcycle insurance market. Since then it has grown fast and now claims to provide insurance to more than one in ten of all Irish registered road riders. It has also expanded its portfolio to now offer car, van and home insurance. “It’s a pleasure and a privilege to support the Pre-Injection Championship which is such a hotbed of emerging talent,” commented Aly Dixon who heads Principal Insurance’s Santry-based operation. “We very much see ourselves as part of the fabric of the Irish motorcycling community with the Principal Insurance Pre-Injection Championship among a host of national and grass-roots races, shows and events we are proud to support.” Mondello Park Managing Director Roddy Greene commented on the announcement saying. “Sponsorship is hugely important for the Dunlop Masters Championship and we are delighted to have the continued support of Principal Insurance. Principal and their staff have been a big part of the Masters for the past two seasons as they have helped us to promote the championship as well as having them in attendance at all of our events. We’re looking forward to working with them again in 2018 to grow the championship and particularly the Pre-Injection class which they will once again support.” The Principal Insurance Pre-Injection Championship will run over twenty one races at seven Mondello Park events during 2018. The championship gets underway on March 24th and 25th and will run through to its climax on the final week of September.
