As Irish motorsport fans get ready for the return of Motorcycle Racing, the Masters Superbike Championship is delighted to announce that Principal Insurance, part of Howden, will also return as title sponsor of the series.
Continuing on from the success of their inaugural year as the main championship partner, in 2024, Principal Insurance will return as title sponsor of the series, which will be named the Principal Insurance Masters Superbike Championship, while the Motorcycle Insurance specialist will also back the headline Superbike and Supersport categories.
Principal Insurance have been a mainstay of the Irish Motorcycle Insurance market since 2015, providing Irish motorcyclists, drivers, and homeowners with great value personal lines insurance, but as part of Howden they have the opportunity to deliver additional insurance services to the market. As part of their involvement in the championship Principal Insurance will contribute greatly to the promotion of the series and will run a number of customer promotional activities around the Masters events.
Speaking on the announcement of their continued involvement with the Masters Championship Gemma Keaveney, Personal Lines Managing Director said, “Following our longstanding association with motorbike racing, we are delighted to continue as the official title sponsor of the Masters Superbike Championship at Mondello Park this year. This sponsorship reflects our shared passion and our dedication to supporting the motorcycling community and being able to provide tailored insurance for motorcyclists and offer more for their personal insurance needs to cover their home, motor, van and travel insurance also if they need it.”
Speaking on behalf of the Masters Superbike Championship, Championship Manager Fergus Brennan said “It’s great for everyone involved in Irish Motorcycle Racing, as a competitor or fan, that we are back racing this year. We are delighted that despite our year off, once Principal heard we were back on track they were eager to stay involved and we are looking forward to working with them once again. With their support we are looking forward to making the Masters Ireland’s best Motorcycle Racing Championship once again.”
The Masters Championship is set to be contested over five race weekends between April and August with all events running over two days at Mondello Park in County Kildare. The season kicks off on the Mondello Park National Track in April before swapping to the longer International layout for the May event. The final three race meetings will run on the National Track with one each month until the finale in August.
With title sponsorship now confirmed the Principal Insurance Masters Superbike Championship will relaunch at Mondello Park on April 11th and 12st. Tickets are available from the Masters championship web site and fans of the series can keep up to date with the championship build up on the championships’ social media channels.
